anyway… im in bridgeport riding with my friend who just got a 929…

i start it up… run it through town some… ride some wheelie’s…

everything seems ok…

get on the highway… me and him take off for a quick run… he’s pulling of course but only by about 2 bikes… the bike feel’s strange… like it was cutting out around higher rpm’s…

so im heading into my old town and i just pop it up… short wheelie… put the bike down and all i hear is tap tap tap…

im allready prepared…

2 second later clunk clunk clunk… i shut it off… LOCKED UP… starter won t turn over…

oil’s good… BUT it was old…

so i got my bike in the garage and im looking to get a motor asap as im pissed!

no warrenty… since its a 01.

anyway… any local salvage yards? i wanna get a low miliege motor…

tear into the head. im doing it now for that F3. the tapping i have is from weak valve springs since i upped the cams.

it may be somehting small causing the motor not to turn over. if it wont turn over on starter how about using the crank shaft bolt? when my bike had ticking i torn into it and found a bent valve, spring retainer messed up. so before you go shopping for a new motor tear into it. it may be something very simple.

WELL … when it came down it started the loud taping… then knocking… then locked up…

im going to tear into it… but not till i at least get my turbosix running… ive been lazy lately…

i found a wrecked zx6r with 2700m for cheap… might by it and swap motor’s…
