after being at track day, i realized what a dumb ass move it was to sell my Porsche 944 for a low pickup truck that i thought i could make fast (in a stright line).
if i were to sell my truck, i would have ~8 grand to spend (whether its 8 grand on a car, or 3 grand on a car and 5 grand in mods, etc), and i’d like to get something that i can learn to drive with and isnt too much power, but at the same time is pretty simple to mod once i get better at driving and can handle it. so here’s what options i’ve come up with:
1990+ Nissan 300ZX
Porsche 944 (or 951 if i could get a decent one for that price)
S2000 (i kno thats a really long shot at finding one in decent shape with lower milage, but you never know)
what i DON’T want:
no DSMs
not a huge fan of 240s
nothing that is gonna take a motor swap to make it quicker
and im not a huge fan of the ‘bug eyes’ Imprezas either
buy a MTX SHO get the tranny built up (about 1500-2K including LSD) 500 an maint and random shit that wil break. call nick for turbo ($4K) but a cheap SHO $1000-$2000 and there you have it 400WHP with some extra money
Just in case you have a little trouble finding that $8,000 S2k I found a couple of options for you that aren’t retarded. Oh, and by the way, heavily modding your DD is stupid. If you can’t afford to push your car off a cliff you can’t afford to mod it. That’s why my car isn’t modded. I don’t have a project car because my life isn’t in the right place yet.
Yeah it is. They’re damn near impossible to find though. I think there was only that one and one other det swapped one within 300 miles so I posted the less modded one. I didn’t think of it, but don’t NX2k’s handle extremely well too?
if your interested there is a GORGEOUS red porsche 944 on clinton road like 20 minutes out from transit…just past townline road on the left. and its in CRAZY good shape
