ic… I agree the Canadian sites don’t exactly make sense for us to interact with. The merger was done to join the nyspeed and pittspeed group together. The two groups have similar interests which will help for conversation and events. The other nice thing of this merger is the autonomy of pittspeed. Everything is still the same, you just have more access to people if you want.

I understand that times are a’ changin’ but I don’t get a couple of things. What in the fuck is the reasoning behind merging NY and PA local forums with FUCKING CANADIAN shit. We don’t give two fucks about the NY drift/240/nuthugging scene…as you guys likely could care less about our little slice of heaven here. The mating just makes no sense. What use for Canadian vendors do we have, let alone forums dedicated to such? I respect Whitey (and others) for putting effort into this site for so long, and do not fault him for punting…but it just doesn’t add up.

Frankly I could care less about who/what you NY guys moderate…we’ll likely just leave and go elsewhere. I don’t understand how people don’t “GET” this. For one if you own a business or sell parts (or want parts for that matter) this is genius. Not to mention the extended exposure your potentially getting for your business because of the merger. We can also assume that with these Networked on/off topic sections, you as the user will experience more interactivity from your posts. Remember the sole function of a forum is to bring people together and talk about similar topics, and with the merger it just extends the range on how many people you can communicate with. Intern leading to more friends, meets, and higher expectations of said meets.
