So the Libertarian party...

It seems like the fundamental problem is that the government has decided to provide for those who do not provide for themselves (welfare.) With that decision in place, what people do to themselves has become the government’s business. Hence, you’re not allowed to smoke a blunt because if you’re stupid enough to smoke yourself into a yambag you will become a liability to the government.

Well I’m going to go drink some beers at a bar with other consenting adults while I still can.

This topic is always a bit touch and go, but lets be real, Americans have trouble with Fast Food in moderation…

we’re turning into the laziest nation, hard workers are vanishing. Always something for nothing mentality. Give the masses drugs that they “have to have” and watch the country fall apart.

I’m sure we’ll see Marlboro get right on the Meth production schedule.

Lets not play word games, drugs is a very broad term, just say what you mean, you want pot legal. I don’t think anyone is for cocaine, heroin etc to become legal.

Its illegal to text in Amherst soon or now, NYS is passing or has passed a law on it…

One thing that must be understood is thatt he government never gives anything away out of the goodness of their heat. They will always take one fo two things, or both, freedom, and money (taxation), and usually they take both.

meh, the problem with drugs is that they do in fact, work. No amount of laws or enforcement will ever stop the want to use drugs.

Even in a utopian society, people will still want to use drugs as a way to numb reality.

Heroin is legal in the form of oxycontin. About as pure as heroin gets and it goes for 65 bucks on the street for an 80mg pill. Yes, thats 65 dollars for one small, green pill. The demand for these things is so high that dealers can ask this amount for them.

thats a prescription drug being used illegally.

But it’s the same thing. What makes heroin illegal is where it comes from and whos selling it.

or using it to black out instead of using it for pain?

I dont want to live in a world where loose cannons who want to fight you after getting a few drinks in the bar, can legally smoke a bag of meth and bump shoulders with me on the sidewalk… scary shit.

As for Libertarian party… lets just say I have never known a “normal” Libertarian lol. Wack jobs. Business needs some regulation and there are no ifs ands and buts about that.

:fail:
