so this summer I want to drop abuot $3000 into my 240

I want to upgrade the suspension, i’m putting in a CA18DET.
So my current things i know i’m buying are:
3" exhaust
spec stage 2/3 clutch
LSD
Lowering springs
Brakes

What else should I buy? I thinki might need to fix up the front end suspension. What should I buy to fix it up a little? as well where are some good places to get some of these parts?

tune?

coils
wtf?
just pay the extra coin and do the dew and get some coilovers

i have KYB AGX shocks already.

^^^ BAHAHA

Agree’d

get rid of thos pos shocks. invest into some coilovers and be happy

trust me, a ca18 swap will be most of your “budget” once its said and done. theres alot to a swap than just shoving a motor in

whatelse do I need for the swap?

and i get my new 240 tomorrow lol

buy a set of baller wheels and the $3000 is spent

Only if then buy them from you.

BAHAHAHA, just jokin

But yea good, light 3 piece wheels are not cheap

He’s right, motor swap, 3inch exhaust, FMIC, and a rough tune= about 3000grand and a weekend worth of work.

PS motor swap price includes pizza and beer

lol ya, i think said and done i was close to 2600

its an easy swap, just make sure you have a non hicas ps pump and dohc lines if you have a sohc in your car right now

just wondering… where is this mystery “tune” coming from when he doesnt have a standalone, nevermind any sort of piggyback… whats there to tune? his bloody throttle plate screw?

imo the motor swap is going to cost most of that by the time your done.

Incidentals, small shit, broken sensors, etc. etc.

If you have enough left over, squeeze in some coilovers. Megans are good bang for the buck.

kyb agx = a joke, like 99% of “shocks” out there, same with 99% of “lowering springs”

A good shock + spring combo will easily run as much as a decent set of coilovers.

i think people are referring to an EProm tune on the factory ECU. Capping a budget of $3000 means you wont get to do much of anything seriously if you are doing a motor swap as there is soo many little things you will need just to make everything work.

AGX are not even an option anymore for anyone who is serious really. Get some good used coilovers for half the price of megans

^^ I’d kind of agree, $3000 is almost the cost of a decent swap alone… I’d just get the car running with the swap, iron out the bugs and see how much you have left. Much easier to budget that way.

P.S. get the CA compression tested before you buy it
