Exaggeration for shock effect, mine’s 10.5# single aluminum… stocker is 25# Dual Mass :ohnoes
definitly understandable for a daily but I enjoy shifting myself
i use tip mode, cuz it gives me the best mpg
trust me it doesnt compare but for city driving a stick is a bit of a pita, esp. when you stop on a hill and the guy behind you stops .6" away from your bumper so you have to pull the e-brake up then let it off as you let the clutch out and give it some gas so ya dont roll back and hit him :idiots i hate people that stop on your ass esp. if its on a hill its fuckin annoying
were gettin OT, but this is gonna be my last comment, i only see ppl rolling backwards in the US, not any other country, that or theyre just learning to drive at 16-18(depending on driving age). why is that? i dont know.
end off topic
quit posting. you cant drive stick so dont make comparisons. and i dont roll back and city driving isnt too bad, i have a 6puck and a 14lb flywheel in my car and its not horrible in bumper to bumper traffic. maybe i can drive i dont know.
stopping it isnt rocket science its just an inconvienance thats all I was sayin
I had an unsprung 6-puck with stock flywheel and that sucked for city driving, I got a sprung 6-puck now and its better. I’m just getting decent at hills though, I used to burn the shit out of the tires so I wouldn’t hit the douche bags that were on my bumper.
…
a auto tranny will do it all the same ive done it and seen it done a few timesif anything there worse more parts and heavier :nod
what?!
how much time have you spent in other countries?
the kids russian… :confused
Ya…I called his phone once and his dad picked up and after about 3 minutes of trying to figure out what he was saying I hung up and found his house my damn self :rofl
Oh, and one of my favorite things I’ve done to my car was a HUGE clutch stop, it’s adjustable but I leave it at it’s minimum because that allows for a bit of play before the clutch even begins to grab, but eliminates the extra 1.5" of movement.
So “any other country” = just Russia?
So Americans must be poor drivers when compared to Russians? I’ve spent some time in various other countries and didnt notice a huge lack of people “rolling back on hills.”
do people really care if ya roll back a couple of inches if you’re on a hill, never really bothers me :confused
its like second nature, I get in a auto car and I feel like im missing something. I dont mind it, and I dont think ive ever had to pull up my e-brake not roll back its all about knowing how to drive, and according to everyone im a horrible driver :nuts
parallel parking in downtown seattle, with a 6puck is fun… because the grade of the hill you have to park on and the fact youve got to back up. the worst hill/traffic experience ive ever had was in a FWD eagle talon with an FP Green, and an aCT 2600… it was raining, the clutch was quite intense and the car had no traction even on dry ground. but adapt and overcome.
you need to check and see if you wrote what manufacturer it was, no place before my post did you state the type of flywheel used… and i ddient say the flywheel came loose, i simply stated that fidanzas, and any lightweight flywheel for that matter a lot of times dont come completely balance and cause vibrations etc… which cause other things to fail
and im refering to the thread i linked up from VW vortex.com. also ive had a few LWFW’s and never had a problem with them. the cause of failure wasnt from being unbalanced. but you would have to read the thread to know that
