They’re talking about that right now on 2’s webcast and yeah, it’s brilliant. They know they’re not going to win, so why cost yourself votes against your other candidates.
Looking really good to me right now, but very few results coming in so far.
Dan Ward is dead last and if he does lose I will have to work hard to restrain myself from leaving a flaming bag of dogshit on his doorstep tonight.
NY 23… Why you should always pick your candidate via a primary, not a committee.
The committee picked a weak candidate who didn’t represent the people of the district, it mobilized the conservative candidate, and caused enough of a split to hand the seat to the democrats. Anyone on that committee ended their political careers tonight.
:picard:
Just got home. Got stuck hearing how NJ and VA means the country rejecting Obama’s agenda. (Or the fact that NJ has a weak incumbent who is grossly unpopular and VA always votes the opposite of the president’s party, not to mention they picked the wrong candidate.)
I’ll be super happy if Owens can hold on in NY 23. I figured enough of the republicans would fall in line with hoffman to push him to victory in a Republican district.
Dr. Barry is gonna win looks like, but I expected that. Too much money in amherst for a hippie lawyer.
Disappointed in the sheriff’s race so far. With all the shit that’s gone on, it should be Glascott in a landslide. Hoping Poloncarz and Loughran can hang on so Chris Collins doesn’t have a rubber stamp government.
Other than Ward, I voted the Working Families line for the first time. I’ve always wanted to support them since they provide a lot of great work for candidates I like, but somehow felt dirty not pulling the D. I experimented in an election that I don’t care that much about.
New voting machines seem idiot proof. Saw an old person do it wrong and it asked them to confirm that they had an overvote. Glad they got the ones with a paper trail in case we ever need a recount.
Barry Weinstein in.
Dan Ward out, 3 Republicans win on Amherst town board.          (I promise if flaming dogshit ends up on Ward’s doorstep it wasn’t me)
Hardwick in.
Lynn Dixon in.
Howard probably in. Meh. He’s a republican so that’s a plus, but I voted against him so that’s a minus.
Poloncarz likely in.
Fuduli in with Konst who isn’t even running stealing 20% from his democrat challenger. and
Shratz too close, but probably won’t win.
Lynn Marinelli wins big. Keep huffing benzene Tonawanda. :picard: :banghead:
And Joe, keep denying it if you want, but Democrats are getting a message tonight from independents.
