In for the NYSPEED dog rescue team.
Looks like a decent sized lot next to the house. Any way of getting in that area? Use a bull cutter to make a hole in the fence, un-hook him and roll out.
I would def like to help this poor little guy. Just make sure he’s actually friendly. I’ve seen plenty of dogs that like to sit and stare until you get close then go ape shit.
edit: nvm.
PM sent.
Will donate for rescue. I don’t understand…if you don’t want the dog, give it to someone who does…Kinda simple. I’d knock on the door and see if anyone is home. If not snatch him up (pending the SPCA doesn’t go in beforehand). I’m sure even if the cops came they’d understand the dog is being neglected and needs attention. Although as Paulo said this dog could go nuts once you get close enough.
From a website:
You find a stray obviously neglected and starving. Your first step is to ensure your own safety- be sure the dog is friendly and if you aren’t sure use a muzzle. (If you’re a dog person, a muzzle belongs with your safety blanket and spare tire) Get the dog to someplace temperature controlled immediately, as starved dogs are extremely sensitive to heat and cold.
Introduce food to the dog in small quantities (about 15-20% of what you would typically feed a dog that size) every 20-30 minutes. Do NOT let the dog gorge himself. Use puppy food or a high protein performance food if possible. You should be feeding the best quality puppy food you can afford- it steals calories away for them to have to work digesting a lesser quality food. Keep this dog separate from your other pets until a veterinarian can screen it. Most starved dogs will seem exhausted because they have no food for energy. Let the dog sleep, keep it warm, and move to step two as soon as possible. Supplement with 1-2 IU of Vitamin E per pound of body weight to help the body recover faster.
SOOOOO is he ok?!?!?!
I have no problems getting arrested for a dog.

Probably an awesome dog, and as a fellow dog owner, my dog is my best friend.

Most likely the story of rescue is getting you laid.
So, you have a bff, and a wet dick.
Winning
PM me if you need anymore help on this. I don’t think hopping fences is fat guy approved, but I’m in to help out if you need another body. I have a dog and love it more than I do most people.
I’ll jump the fence and lift him over if you want me to?
update?
Jam probably got his face bit off. Funny how you guys think that an obviously abused dog isn’t going to be unstable and aggressive.
You’d be surprised, we’ve rescued some that are like “OH THANK GOD YOU SAVED ME!” and are mushballs forever. Of course, they aren’t all like that.
Really? I wouldn’t have expected any to still be warm to humans, but that’s cool. I just wouldn’t go hopping a fence into an abused dog’s yard, much less expecting to man handle one back over the fence. Maybe you’ll get lucky, or maybe you’ll get eaten.
Anybody got one of these?
It should be fairly easy to figure out his demeanor once your on the other side of that fence 2 feet away from him. He’ll either try to lick your hand through the fence, or take it down in pursuit of your blood.
PM me if you’re actually going to do this.

i drove by the front of the house today. there are def people living there, they were on the porch at 3 pm on a thursday drinking from brown paper bags. you can draw your own conclusions from that
i am not going to hop the fence. like i said, as much as this dog seems nice, he may not be, i also worry what would happen if someone in the house is alerted to my presence. still makes me sad looking at him, his house is still knocked over. he was in it sideways when i got there today
and i haven’t thrown him any food for fear of someone seeing me. there are people walking through the parking lot in question quite often (and they have not done anything about this dog and his living conditions, you can again draw your own conclusions)
if anyone wants to try and get him or go and fight the owners or something pm me and i’ll give you the address, im not going to post it. i will say that it is in the fillmore / e. ferry area.
its really sad, i feel helpless in this whole situation, and dude just stares at me. he started barking, like 3 or 4 times when i walked away today. it was the first time i had ever heard him make a noise
Do more. Post #4 will get you results. Don’t let the poor lil guy suffer any more than he has and don’t let these scum bags get away with animal cruelty.
