So you ride/want a motorcycle.

Yes, and? I was referring to his scars and how they still cause him pain, not what he did to get them.

Noone said you shouldn’t be able to. When you have kids and other important stuff to live for you prioritize your actions. Do you really need to go to a bar and get drunk like you did in college? Do you need that motorbike with no protection other than a helmet and a jacket? Do you need to race around in a vehicle like you did while in high school? Once you have something really important in your life(for me, it’s my kids) you think twice about doing something you know you are pushing your luck on. I’m not saying you have to quit living and doing fun things, but your attitude does change.

Well none of us can live in a bubble, so we each have to decide how much risk we are willing to take, and live with the consequences of our actions.
Personally, I love the feeling of 2 wheels, and it’s impossible for someone who has never done it to understand.

I just trust that God is in control, and I will be alive as long as He plans for me to be here.

One last thought, isn’t it interesting how a brush with death, makes you feel so alive?

Yes attitude does change, thats why they make harleys so you can’t go as fast.

Just saying if he wasn’t acting like an idiot, this whole coversation about his pain would be a moot point.

Thats all.

Yes, because it’s his fault some lady changed lanes in the tunnel and ran him over… (and yes, I told him that if he had been on two wheels instead of one he might’ve been able to slow down faster and she wouldn’t have hit him…)

key phrase,

and not might, WOULD HAVE

thanks, I knew what I said…

hehehehehehehe

There are aprox. 12,281,054 citizens of Pa.
so if 200 died by motocycle thats 0.0000162% of the population

I do not have a Bike, Although I do want one, I cannot convince my wife or Grandmother, to give me the blessing.

Mothersday 1987 My Father Died on his bike around 2am, along with him, a friend who wore my fathers helmet died as well.
This troubles me greatly, although I still cant stop wanting a bike.

The stats show that your are more likely to die from complications of the flu, heart disease as a result of SECOND HAND SMOKE, or as a victim of a drunk drivers poor decision, than to die while riding a motorcyle.

Its beyond the point of taking risks, if you read the stats and do the math you basically have about a 92% chance of dieing this year as a result of something. so really, whats the differance as to what kills you?
“6million ways to die, choose one”

you two argue like married couple

I think helmets are like seat-belts, and by that I mean, they save your life so rarely I don’t lose any sleep over it. And from those stats, no helmet doesn’t seem as deadly as people make it out to be. I would like to see the stats on what % of riders are and are not wearing helmets, because that would shed more light on the stats.

It’s almost 50/50 with people wearing or not wearing a helmet that died. That’s kind of amazing.
