The 90 is NOT the back stretch @ Laguna Seca! I lost a dear friend to a sport bike accident because he was in the wrong spot and the wrong time. Please if you want to have fun go to the track. I am not going to get in to much detail of the event,…but it had a good out come( I did not have to run you over!!) If you would like to be kewl like duamel (sp) DO IT ON THE TRACK ! If the “RIDERS” are on this board and would like to come over to my house I will gladly pull your head out of you’re a$$ for FREE, I will even pay for the gas.
Are you trying to justify it ^ this is not a tread about the speedway…(please dont because this thread was made before some one, some one close to some will die in a bike mishap this year. and history has proved it.
You are right it isnt that fast. -but IT IS A RACE TRACK! NOT A PUBLIC ROAD, where there is a speed limit ( and some people follow it! ) when the speed limit is ~55 and your weaving in and out of traffic at speeds of 80+ ( on a bike) your counting on the reaction time of who ever is on that road.

yea i’m also sick of these bikers who weave thru traffic on the thruway going 30 mph over the speedlimit… just because you have a bike doesn’t mean you have special privelidges
haha i threw all the change in my pocket once at a bmw tailgaiting the hell out of me for miles down 20a last summer on the way out to letchworth. brand new 3 series. we had some words, he woulda destroed me, but i was with 5 other bikes
by no means is this a personal attack on you but after reading that post and being a sportbike rider who occasionally rips it up on the thruway, i feel that its my responsibility to remind you that MANY guys that ride carry things to throw at cars, and some even carry guns. while the rider is completely at fault for doing that, it doesnt justify someone else being an idiot in response to them.

I don’t quite understand the irony…bikers get mad when cars drive reckless around them…but car drivers cant get upset when a biker drives reckless? Give me a break.
Any reckless on the public roads doesn’t just possibly harm the operator of the vehicle.
and you need to do a wheelie in traffic why? i love how you also say its “perfectly controlled” theres always the unknown factor, i hope for your sake that you don’t have to find that out the hard way
obviously you dont understand it… a car driving recklessly can easily kill a biker. a biker driving recklessly has very VERY little chance of even hurting you in a car, let alone take your life!
Bikers driving wild cause poor drivers, old people and women to overreact and its a domino effect from there, Do it on a secluded private road, not on the 290 or any major heavily trafficked road. Its not neccesary, i dont mind being passed, but being all in all nuts is asking for trouble, and if you go down and i run you over and kill you its not my fault.
I agree that it’s not appropriate and people should keep it off busy streets. but I agree with mike that bikes are a lot more prone to serious damage/death.
and about the old people and bad driver thing, that’s true too, but more old people almost kill me than me scaring them. i remember one of my first days riding i was going down maple towards UB doing the speed limit (what, 40 or so) and an old woman turns left RIGHT in front of me. I lay on the horn, and this old bitch didn’t even look.
old people are much more of a danger to bikes than bikes are to old people. the day after dom died i was riding up kenmore and a woman pulled out RIGHT in front of me off montrose. I had to swerve to avoid hitting her, luckily there’s a median there. I got to the light and it was a ~65 year old woman. I’m not enough of an asshole to scream my head off at her but I told her she had almost hit me, she was very apologetic but that wouldn’t change the fact that I’d be dead.
guys. bikers do stupid things. im not gonna lie. so do drivers. but throwing something at a biker WILL result in serious serious injury, possible death. please try to use restraint.
