SOHC 5 speed swap wiring

Hey guys,

Before you go nuts, I did search on the weakass 3 word MAX search tool with many different combinations.

I have been reading all kinds of swap guides and the wiring part never applies because they are all DOHC. And apparently there is a difference between the 2 transmission harnessi(es?).

So the mechanical aspect of the swap is all complete, all that remains is the wiring and a fluid flush.

Has anyone here ever done the 5 speed swap on an SOHC motor? If so please detail the wires and plugs that need to be cut, jumped, and/or altered.

I’ve been checking the schematics specifically for the SOHC but it’s too confusing and I’d like to not make a huge mistake.

Any and all help will be appreciated. If you can come help it would be even better. I live JUUUUST north of the GTA. On the line between Toronto and Thornhill basically.

Here are some pics I just uploaded of the wiring harness where work needs to be done:

I’m doing a DOHC into SOHC chassis along with an auto to manual swap. I’ve been referencing the Nico guide and as far as I can remember it’s been pretty accurate even for the SOHC chassis. I don’t have it done yet, need to get fluids in the engine before I can start it, I’ve gotten it to crank and pump fuel though. Maybe this weekend I’ll get around to finishing it and try to take some pics.
