Some House Mods v. Kitchen and Staircase

Looks like dog shit fggt.

Cat is cool tho.

I like the tin on the side of the fridge.

Looks great, love the stairs. Don’t really care for the stamped backsplash. It feels kind of cheap and with your cabinets/floor/counter I feel like something else would have really made it stand out and feel more cohesive. I know its subjective.

I love the single basin sink.

I think real tin is classic and fits perfectly in a updated house from 1907. This is not home depot faux tin it is the real deal and looks great in person. Needless to say I think your opinion is meh at best.

Obviously no matter what kitchen I post someone would say that. It’s cool can’t please everyone.

Having done alot of older wood restos in houses, I feel your pain in having to sand the stairs and landing, but it looks great! Also the tin accent on the fridge is such a small detail that really brings the kitchen together nice.

I was considering making the tin side panels then I got a quote for the subzero sides and it was like $1,500 so it was an easy decision and it does make the room flow really well.

We were able to sand everything in a day! Was brutal but pretty run…lots of beer. Dusty beer.

I figured that would be the response (period correctness).

The windows in the blue carpet picture look BA.

neat looking cat.

+1 on what walter said.

nice, the sink is my favorite part

Did the kitchen have a tile backsplash? If so did you remove it or go over it with the tin?

Farmhouse style sink, excellent choice.

The stairs look awesome too.

baller status reached for sure, I say best house on NYspeed except maybe blue eyed devil… but yours is more my style anyway

Looks good! although i can’t tell because your pics suck  but the sink looks great with the counter. glad it isn’t something not as unique as the rest of the kitchen (white/bisque). We did the same thing with our fridge (making own panels) it was a stupid amount of money so we trimmed them with cabinet doors to look like the factory one, minus the super high expense. Everything goes together well considering the style/age of the house.

good job

Looks like a lot of work that turned out great, nice job!

I’m curious, what is it about older houses that you don’t like?

(srs question, not trying to be a jerk)

Thanks guys!

The gf has a DSLR maybe I will make her take better pics sometime.
Deebo your parents probably did the same picard I did when they tried selling me 1.5k-2.5k side panels.

The farmhouse copper sink is legit…but the pics do suck.

All looks great. The fridge is serious business man. Congrats.

Did you have to assemble your fridge?

Just had to put the doors on
