umm yeah i remember the “dodge 911” as well… or porsche avenger… however you wanna put it but that was an extreme project and looked every bit of a 996 911 in arctic silver… why did u ever sell that!! :angry2
Was this car really that much of a “phantom” to everyone back then? Everytime it’s brought up it seems no one remembers seeing it. I drove that thing every day I could and figured it was seen day in and day out. It’s not like it was a trailer queen…
Yea Benny, just my base 97 Avenger that I did a body mold transformation front and rear to replicate a 2001+ 996 Turbo. All factory parts… fenders, hood, litronics, rear decklid, etc, etc. Porsche brakes as well. Fully built turbocharged 2.4L hybrid 420a @ 452FWHP. There are not many pictures of it around these days, except for the few fabrication pics I have left on a CD somewhere. Had them posted on RSpeed a few months back…
Car was sold due to my realization of dumping near $30K into a dodge that had little purpose to me Not to mention it was the year I started designing the kit car, and funds started to get diverted from the dodge to my current project, now some years later…car was parted, scrapped, and crushed soon thereafter cage and all…
Back to CNC topic…
HAHAHA HOLY SHIT
yeah im only 20 so a few years ago puts me out of the scene :rofl
that sounds like an awesome project though holy shit
Definitely OT from my original post but I found a picture on my computer here. Just an offshoot shot of the front end mid construction during winter storage. Best I’ve got as most of the files for this and past projects were lost when my laptop went south before I could back stuff up again.
