Dogfighting in general is really messed up. Not just because of animal abuse, but because when you break a dog to make it fight anything, the animal is a very serious liability to humans.
My mom is a nurse, and has a friend who does at-home visits for people just let out of the hospital. In one of the more shitty neighborhoods in Rochester she was at a patient’s house and was attacked by a dog that was most likely used for dog fighting (it belonged to the patient). It latched onto her face. Your imaginations can fill in the details here; it was really bad.
I don’t understand the draw of people to train dogs to kill each other, it’s really sick. And to steal another person’s property (pet dog) to do it makes it even worse.
