verdict is in, hood still clears great with about 1in of clearance for when i go 42r.lol im gunna pull the mani and get it to matt to weld up now that i know it all fits and i finaly got a new job working for moog. well, unemployment was fun while it lasted.
well, the time off was, the money part sucked.

ok, got my new 31x12x4 intercooler in the mail today from CXracing on ebay. Ive had super good luck with ebay intercoolers so im sticking with it especially considering the cost differences. I was very impressed at how cool my charge temps were when i was pushing the sc61 to 30+psi with my 3in core.
I had to drill a couple new holes in the intercooler mounting bracket to bolt up the intercooler but here she sits right at home.
and i still have a ton of aluminum intercooler piping left over from my previous charge pipe build for this car so this shall work. after intercooler still fits like a glove and it appears that the pre intercooler piping will be a breeze as well. I will have to make a custom radiator hose though unfortunately but its a small price to pay.
after this is all fitted up it will be time to do the exhaust then send everything off to get welded and and finish up the fuel lines while waiting for the welded parts. then just reassmbly and cleaning. im getting nervous/excited to see this thing run.
I can’t believe that cold side ic pipe fits that good, with a different cooler and all.
well the dimensions havnt changed at all besides its now a 4in core. Im gunna attempt to weld some of this aluminum and if its epic fail ill have to have you weld it up for me again. I figured i should get some practice in anyhow.

Oh, yeah, you will fail at welding the aluminum too. Epically. Try something thicker than .065 wall tubing to start, or you will surely beat the shit out of your wife in anger.
told you the fuel rail tap wasn’t deep enough.
build is looking stout…too bad you’ll never finish it now cuz you’ll be working 80 gazillion hours a week.
