some ?`s about porsche 944

awesome, i should be getting it within the next couple weeks, im really in no big rush because most of the work will probably be done over winter when i have nothing to do and have some $$ laying around. Right now im trying to get my VW running right. But i will asking enough questions when the time comes.

It’s a late car, if it’s had the maintenance done, definitely pick it up for that price. But be aware you need to budget 1-5k per year for maintenance. Feel free to ask any specific questions, most of these guys have covered the problem areas.

what does this 1-5k a year maintenance involve?

Anything you can imagine. Literally, think of a wear item on a normal car, then imagine it failing in the worst possible way.

sounds like fun. lol you pay to play though.

Phone dials?
Cookie cutters?
Fuchs?

Cookies likely, phones possible, Fuchs… no way. And even if they are it’s probably a set of 15x7 non staggereds worth maybe $450.

Oh yeah, and I have a Euro NA engine, zero miles, 5# flywheel, fresh rebuild if you’re interested.

^I had an 86 with Fuchs.
They could be worth up to $1000.

The only fuchs that are going for real money from 944’s anymore at the 16" Staggered ones as 930 owners have been buying them up like gold.

yea it comes with the phones. I have seen some nice fuchs go for over 1k. Starting to find out whats hot and whats not on these cars lol. Any difference in the engine you have and the one thats in it?

I just saw a red 944 for sale in Springville.
Is this the one by any chance?

DOES NOT INCLUDE OIL COOLER. Zero Miles on this motor, PM me with an offer if you are SERIOUSLY interested.

Asking $1200obo + shipping

You can not build a brand new engine for this price with these parts.

So yes, a few differences

so basically, i pick the car up, pick this motor up, swap the two out. And i should have a somewhat reliable car for a while?

Yeah, but it’s pending sale to a guy in MD (as of 10 minutes ago).

I would not, sorry, I just dont have the time. Moving (twice) + 2 new jobs + vacationing all of july. Plus I’ve been working 10-12 hour days on 944’s (and getting paid to do it) and barely have the motivation to work on my own.

i understand. im sure i could figure something out. Just let me know.
