Did my license course and finished two races. Only got a few picts, as I don’t have a lot of time taking pictures. There are more on track shots from Owen Photo’s, which is not up on their site yet. Riding a twin do getting some use to, need a big ward of throttle to downshift or the back will get lose; Which I did once…not very fun when you are at the end of the main straight dicing for T1…:rofl.
Low end is amazing though, the bike launches out of corner with enthusiasm, just need to make sure not to over do it especially when the green flag drops :ahh.
Couldn’t ask for better weather! May be just a bit too hot, but I am not complaining. Was using the Duc 900SS for the school on Friday, and open practice & races on Saturday on the bike with my LRRS number 604. I unknowingly registered that bike into an unlimited class race (Super Twin), my first real race after the rookie race, racing with people on slicks with unlimited restrictions…:rofl. I got smoked bad by the 2 really fast guys, but I still managed to get a podium on my first Novice race…tongue
The really cool thing about getting the race license is I am now able to registered for all Thursday NHMS motorcycle open practices. $150 for the whole day or $100 for half day, no passing rules! A really cheap track day with very very low traffic :thumbup.
