Some shots from NHMS 5/28~29

Did my license course and finished two races. Only got a few picts, as I don’t have a lot of time taking pictures. There are more on track shots from Owen Photo’s, which is not up on their site yet. Riding a twin do getting some use to, need a big ward of throttle to downshift or the back will get lose; Which I did once…not very fun when you are at the end of the main straight dicing for T1…:rofl.

Low end is amazing though, the bike launches out of corner with enthusiasm, just need to make sure not to over do it especially when the green flag drops :ahh.

Enjoy!

You suck!

The weather been holding out on ya this year?

Twins are an entire different beast as you’ve found out, often times you can just use the rear brake and engine brake to stop.

What did you get to ride? A monster?

Couldn’t ask for better weather! May be just a bit too hot, but I am not complaining. Was using the Duc 900SS for the school on Friday, and open practice & races on Saturday on the bike with my LRRS number 604. I unknowingly registered that bike into an unlimited class race (Super Twin), my first real race after the rookie race, racing with people on slicks with unlimited restrictions…:rofl. I got smoked bad by the 2 really fast guys, but I still managed to get a podium on my first Novice race…:rofl:tongue

The really cool thing about getting the race license is I am now able to registered for all Thursday NHMS motorcycle open practices. $150 for the whole day or $100 for half day, no passing rules! A really cheap track day with very very low traffic :thumbup.

We’ve got to talk sometime, because that sounds really cool.

I did not forsee there being a financial incentive in getting a race license but $150 for a day with no passing rules doesn’t sound too bad at all.

Congrats on placing too!

Passing traffic or trying to chase down someone better than you is what makes a track day fun though, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about low traffic.
