I’m gonna guess Cold accord, didn’t he buy that one from him?

I thought it didn’t go MS until Jam though?
WHERE THE FUCK IS JAM WITH THE GOD DAMNED DETAILS?
It didn’t go to MS until it got to Jam. I don’t remember who he said helped him though.
a guy made me the ms harness with my old ecu harness. its a ms1 v3.0 board running msns controling fuel and spark
pic
all connections on the ms harness have been insulated, and were working fine. ms box lights up while cranking as it is supposed to, and will run fine, ect
the problem is not the ms harness, the problem is the main relay and other wiring in the car. its a mess. srsly, its ugly as fuck.
Okay, one of two resolutions:
a.)You need a good multimeter, some safety pins, and some alligator clipped wires. Start checking every lead in the car from ECU plug to termination. When you find problems, splice in new wire.
or
b.)Replace the fucking harness.
a.)will take alot of time and possibly cause you more problems later if you don’t replace EVERY problematic spot very cleanly. But will prolly be cheap.
b.)will cost at least a few hundred beans unless you want to try a junkyard harness which may be only marginally better.
Hate to say it, but IMO - new harness FTW.
yeah. i know.
i can get a junkyard one. i dont want to get a new one from the dealer bc the fuel pump RELAY just the RELAY is $96.
wtf
don’t replace relays or sensors unless you test them & they are bad.
a junkyard harness will do, but make sure that the wiring is good - test everyone… and BE CAREFUL installing 20 year old dried out wiring.
Hmm…but are you going to trust a junkyard harness? Thats a little sketchy imo.
anything is better that what the wiring in the car looks like now jay, for srs
Thats probably true though. GL
Jam - there is no quick fix for what this seems like. Well, other then a pricey new harness, all new relays, and all new sensors… but I would guess that is well over $1k (IDK)
You’re going to have to spend (at least) a weekend troubleshooting what you’ve got - or - (at least) a day checking a junkyard harness and all of your relays / sensors.
Sorry buddy. But don’t just try to patch it up and have to fix it yet again later on. I ran into a similar type of problem with my car. It is really amazing how many wiring faults the stock EEC ran with. My car is “fine”, but over the winter I’m straight rewiring everything from the ECU to the engine so to eliminate some sketchy work done by the previous owner.
Keep in mind too that we’re basically troubleshooting your car completely blind and nt going on much more info the a few 3rd parties verifying that the wiring is a rats nest. IOW: It may be not-running reliably for some stupid little easy to fix problem… but you need to nip the harness in the bud at some point.
If you get a junk yard harness also buy a big ass sheet of ply wood, some nails, and a marker.
When you get home lay the wood on your garage floor than take the harness and neatly sort plugs, relays, fuse, holders, fleshlights, and other shtuff. Than pin it to the board, making sure not to actually put any nails through the wires. Than test everything out with a GOOD multimeter, and replace accordingly. Or if you can get your hands on every plug and holder needed just remake the harness. but the last option should really be just that. A last option.
