Jeff, my uncle has a drill press that I know worked 10 years ago, Its BURRIED in the garage in sanborn. I’ll show him this, talk to him, and see whats up with it, cant hurt to ask I guess.

A simple Bridgeport and vise(or 5c collet) will do the job. Doing it in a drill press would be quite a challange (if done properly with an indicator, etc).
