hey, the pond out infront of andrew’s house should be good and frozen now.
Kitchener??? hmm pond hockey is free… who in that region plays?
ponds also allow you to keep your ‘refreshments’ cold…
I’m liking the pond… and it can be for more then one hour.
there is a free outdoor rink near me!
outdoor rinks are cool too. we need to do this while the weather lasts
The pond outside my house is off limits. I don’t need any more complaints from the old people… But then again if we can go in a boat on it, why cant we skate on it…
I am in for sure. Just some input though… Mississauga is like $100 an hour at Iceland or Erin Mills Twin Rinks. Brampton Centre for sports and entertainment is also pretty cheap and they have a great facility, Oakville has probably some of the nicest rinks but is kinda price depending on how many people and the time of day. Also I have like 3 sets of hockey equipment, about 5 sets of gloves, enough sticks to supply the NHL, and a couple pairs of skates and a few helmets if anybody needs any. Do you guys have any kind of a date planned out?
If you guys need someone to book ice times or bring out goalies or w/e let me know cause i know some people that work at the rinks and a bunch of goalies.
so when is the date for this event ?
im in for sure.
farmer
i think first we have to decide where. it will cost different amounts for different times and dates. if we rent a rink it would be cheaper late at night, say 11:00pm. if this is the case then i would think we would need to do this on a saturday for sure.
saturday is prime hours, so is 11, most rinks shut down at 11. You need off prime, which will be monday-friday from noon - 4
which means no one with a job will be attending
or school
im pretty sure you can rent rinks at 11 and later
A bunch of friends and i always rented a rink at midnight, came out to like 10-15 each for 2 hours with 20 people or so
From my experience in the rinks here for the past 5 years, i have never once seen a rink be open past 11, unless its a JR B game and then thats just overtime. We shut down the ice at 11 and close up and leave by 11:30. The AUD. is a different story.
But if you have a security code and key…it’s free…Well it’s probably different in the big cities. Check it out i really don’t care where it’s at.
yes it is different in the big cities…
we used to have games start @ 12:15am and go until like 2am…
Frechmans Bay in Pickering. Played there two weeks ago. Just of the 401 at Whites Rd.
