Southern cities: Atlanta, GA or Montgomery. AL

Driving though and need someplace to stop and spend the day.

Where would you stop?

Atlanta, GA

or

Montgomery. AL

Montgomery would make the last leg of the trip somewhat shorter, so based on that alone I’m leaning towards there.

Never been to either city though, anyone ever visit them?

Any better choices?

I would not spend any unnecessary time in Alabama or Mississippi. Seriously, get gas before you cross the border and haul ass til you’re out. Atlanta.

This.

Not really, driving from NC to TX and want to split the drive.

I’d be afraid of even rolling down my windows in MS…

New Orleans?

Atlanta is my second home. we stop/stay there atleast twice a year(sis leaves in Stone Mtn.). I love it there

Take a few more hours and see Tallahassee?

Any good places you know to stay? Where are the nice areas? PM me if you want to.

Tallahassee sucks, as well as Pensacola.

Truth.

That drive blows, I just did it from Buffalo to Fort Benning (90 miles south of ATL) yesterday… Props to you.

Stone Mountain area/Stonecrest. its right off 20. Huge shopping mall and tons of resturants. how long are you staying over? There are a ton of things to do DT like the coca cola factory, aquarium, zoo and CNN tour among other things. You could even swing by the mountain for a laser show.

that drive isnt bad lol. I do it by myself straight with 4 other ppl sleep.

Well we are going from Buffalo to Gettysburg for the first night, then we are going to the outer banks in NC for a week. From there we are heading to someplace down south between NC and Houston. I was thinking between those two cities. N/O is way too close to Houston to be a stop though.

ATL nucka

Oh dont get me wrong, I do it a few times a year. It still blows sitting there wasting my time for 14-15 hours straight, haha.

Coca Cola factory is a cool one, Aquarium is ok but costs a few $. CNN, Zoo, downtown in general. Much more than one nights worth of stuff to do though.

I disagree. Birmingham has a couple nice areas.

haha

Underground Atlanta too.
