Is Calgary like suffer from Nissan Bolemia  I cant find a decent 240 for under $5000…

the car is 15-17 years old lol…

Dont really see why we seem to have such a price hike - sites like NICO, people in the states are getting quality ones for $2000 USD, were having trouble getting POS ones for $3000 CDN :frowning:

Anyway, dunno if anyone else has had a similar experience, how did you guys get your Nissans?

lol i bought my car from a guy in calgary a little over 3 years ago. I lived in Yellowknife (N.W.T.) at the time and I walked by an s14 everyday for 3 years on my way to school. Fell in love with the body lines every time I saw it. So I looked on canadatrader.com once I had some money save up and found this one. Not exactly the pick of the litter but I was a compulsive buyer at the time. I never knew anything of the potential of the car at the time.

Mine cost me $8500 (1995 5spd LE). . .came with suspension, sideskirts, no rust and a hidden rear-end collision (he never told me about it even after I asked him). It’s pretty rare that you’ll find an s14 in mint condition. . .

I should have waited 1 more day to buy a car because there was a 97 for sale the day after i bought it. Half the mileage, mint condition and the same price.

Anyways, I don’t live in calgary but that’s where my s14 came from . . .

The real sad part is if you are going to buy a 240sx for 5g’s, save an extra grand and buy a stock silvia or 180sx with 0 rust, low ass kms, and it might even have a few aftermarket goodies. Plus you are already getting a turbo motor. My .02

I took me 3 years to find my S14. I almost bought a Silvia but I really didn’t want a RHD. If I was to do I over again I would start my search in the USA. You can get some pretty good deals on S14/S13 there. I think a couple of people on here have gone to the USA for there cars. I figure buying a car unseen from the USA or Japan does not really make too much of a difference.

i paid $6000 for mine 4 years ago

there is a nice zenki on beyond, someone should really pick this up. i think its 2800 and there is like no rust on the thing

wheres this lol, Ive probably inspected it

I guarantee you if is a canadian model i can find rust on it cuz. I am just sick of people saying their car is rust free, then you look at the common places and you just laugh. I’m the king sh1t when it comes to these cars, I know everything, and my atitude proves it.

Anyone know of any that might be for sale though? Ive been browsing like a Mah-Fugga…

Not too sure why its so hard to find a decent one for a reasonable price. heh.

thats so true, only canadian car that i know of is andrews old car (zenki) it was spotless

take a look at these cars

and here is the one that i want…

Yeah Lorenzo, gone to look at both of those

The blue one I think is like priced much more than its worth…

And the one you want was my last one that failed inspection and sent me over the edge lol… Rusted frame, lights dont work, all gauges are broken, brakes on the front are the only ones that respond, air in the lines, 2 bald tires, transmission grinds into second gear even with full clutch… :frowning:

Disappointing!

:stuck_out_tongue:

oh wow, ya that blue ones looks like it was well maintained. good thing you got it inspected.

but ya 240’s are high in price. if i were you why not import ???

What do you expect from a 15 year old car that has been drivin in canada

No like serious rust, like a hole in the frame :frowning:

Mechanic/Inspector told me to stay awayfrom it and it would be a problem car, kindof unfortunate I would have liked to get it, but safety is high priority…

Importing one from the states would be a good idea, Ill keep my eye out on Nico and stuff like that I guess

Man it’s cuz 240sx are DRIFTENNNNNN MACHINES!!! !!! :tonqe:

You got a 240 and you’re a DRITEN MACHINE!!!

KOUKI THAT BAD BOY AND YOURE DRITTTFFETEENNN MADDDZZZ SKILZZ!!

Bahhhh, Holes in the frame of a 240 do nothing. The frame has very little structural support of the car since its a unibody. Just buy it, grind out most of the rust and soak the bitch in por15 and your good to go

omggggg i want the hatch of that blue 1…i tried to tell him to trade me for my rusty 1 plus cash but nooooooooo lol

I mean Im not really looking to drift it, might take it to the track maybe once a month in the summer  for something to do, other than that looking for a cool sports car that I can enjoy - thats Nissan…

Im thinking of importing, buying one from someone in the states for 2000, and then another 500 to drive it up?

If you bring a car up from the states you have to change the seatbelts. They don’t pass in Canada.

only on s13’s but the 15 year rule covers most of them

S14 are 100% legal tho
