What can i honestly expect for a max of 3000 bucks? I want something very clean, willing to travel to the states for a “right price right car” deal. Ideally in red (cars not for me…not my colour choice)
opinions? What to usually look out for (other than typical body rust in quarters, fenders…). The car is for my girl so a KA powered one would do fine, but looking for a fully loaded interior

Honestly, nothing in Canada. People charge ridiculous amounts of money for dreadful 240’s here.
If you haven’t heard of it, go on zilvia.net. It’s a much larger american based s chassis forum. It has a baller for sale section with great prices. You won’t get a mint s14 for three grand, but you’ll probably be able to get a rust-less / dec painted one for that much.

i sold my mint s14 last year for 3600 … you can find them just have too look and wait
You can find some but it may take time and you should have the cash ready if you are serious. Don’t see one and than arrange credit or anything you need the cash or else the good ones will be gone.
Oh ya $3500 USD for an automatic with +375***kms that you would have to go see, arrange transportation, arrange customs, get the import stuff done at Canadian tire etc etc…is a great deal! You clearly do not value your time.

blaah blah blah blah. Go buy a rotted out s14 here with a shit paint job, holes everywhere and fucked towers for 6 grand. With over 200xxx. You can’t get cars here that are clean like that. No one cares about mileage on 240’s here. It never matters as there is definitely shit wrong with the car.

Seeing that all non-Kouki s14’s are older than 15years old now you don’t have to do anything at CanadianTire. I bought my s14 in New Jersey last summer, from when I saw the ad to when I had it registered in Ontario it only took me 5 days. Saw the ad Monday night, drove to NJ with family Tuesday and looked at it, bought it that night, faxed my title to the border, drove back Wednesday, parked it at the airport. Friday went back, imported it and had it registered in Ontario before 4:00 Friday. And now I’m doing the same for my Miata that’s in California, instead I’m buying a 1-way ticket and flying down and driving it back.
Oh I thought you had to them for all vehicles that you imported. I never said bringing a car over was hard lol just not everyone knows how to do it smoothly. This is even more so when you have to go view cars.

I did have an S14 that was clean as shit and the price I paid was substantially less, get informed noob.
I didn’t know anything about importing it when I saw the ad. A quick google search told me all I need in half an hour. Not sure how you wouldn’t be able to do it smoothly.

Some people just don’t have time or patience for it. It’s the price you pay at times for convenience too so who cares. When I search for the BMW M3 I will have a good look at the U.S for cars.

These days 240’s here are over priced. If you want to know why go into the other thread talking about high prices. The mentality in the states is completely different about 240’s. It makes them a lot cheaper. I’m was just trying to help OP out by giving him a phenomenal site to purchase 240’s in the states. u can expect a car with stock ka in drivable condition but rusty is sports that need major work but not too rusty that would be obvius. or a peice of s**t rus bucket probebly RHD with SR that isnt complete and a hood or a fender or a bumber is missing.
Since you are willing to travel to the states. go on zilvia. you’ll get a lot more car for your cash.
