Yeah, WTF? Why the hell is the government handing out cell phones? Cell phones are a WANT, not a NEED. Make people get their own phones…maybe then the extra $20+/month from each person who wants a cell phone might help our economy a bit instead of the Government spending (likely) millions on a program to give free phones to people.

There is no “Obama phone” or other newly created federal program to provide free cell phones. As you may know, this is a myth that is now circulating on the Web via email and blog sites. It has been thoroughly debunked by independent groups.
