So I’m driving home on the highway and I start to hear a squealing sound at around 3000 rpm. I get home and thought it was a belt, (although I changed it 2 months ago) which it was but the reason it was squealing was because my fan was kind of seized. Normally I can spin it around while the car was off, this time it was much harder to turn. So I put some lube on the clutch part of the fan and it spins easier and the squealing went away. But it doesn’t move as much as before. Has this happened to any one else? Does any one know how to fix this, or do u think its time for an Altima fan?
i suggest elec. fans. quite an easy mod and frees up the engine from doing some extra work.
Ya, go electric. They work really well and you can adjust when they kick in.
