Heads coming off this weekend to be rebuilt by myself as a school project. Any tips/tricks for removal/installation on this particular engine would be greatly appreciated. A list of specs for the top end (clearances, torques, tolerences, etc) and a name for a good local parts supplier that can get things for this engine would be great also.

As far as removing the head, no tips or tricks, straightforward as it gets. I had mine off in about an hour or so, from the time I cracked the hood.
Is it in the car? 'cause it’s a bit of a PITA if it is, as far as the manifolds go, if it’s out of the car and you’re worried about how to do it, you probably shouldn’t be doing it
