i jus swaped my motor in and it idles bad keeps missing, also when im driving and then come 2 a stop the rpms drop 2 about 200 and jump up and down for a few seconds before going back 2 about 8 or 900, and it burns to much gas i put 26 litres in and it lasted me like 120 km.
A few things could be your problem, one for sure is that your blow off valve isnt being re circulated properly and when it blows off remember that it will idile a little ruff and you need to keep the rpms up so you dont stall out, " from what i have been told and have with my sr" check all your plugs and make sure they arent covered in oil. try changing your plugs for better idle and when you come to a stop, keep your foot on the gas a tiny bit.
26L for 120Km isn’t bad if you were give’in’er. It all depends on driving characteristics, so to say you got 26L in 120Km doesn’t say much. It’s a performance, turbocharged motor, it’s gonna eat fuel. Are you running regular or premium? Highway or city? Did you redline it at every shift, or keep it below 3K…
Check your timing, check your plugs, is the BOV going to atmo, or recirc? Check for a vacuum leak too.
no that was yesterday i wasnt pushing it i was driving like on speed limit well i little over it . i checked the plugs there alright no oil on em they havnt flooded my bov is recirculated. the plugs i changed like 1000 km ago but the engine sat for 4 months. i tried spraying throttle cleaner in the iacv’s pipe and the throttle body. didnt help much
flash the ECU and see if it spits out a code or not… you “could” have a bad sensor “like 02 or coolant temp” etc etc
maybe even a small vaccum leak which may cause the idle dip?
i dont no how 2 flash the ecu. timing shud b fine cuz it wasnt touched. and there is no vacuum leaks from what i checked.
i did change the coolant temp sensor 2 the ka 1
i changed the temp sensor back 2 the sr on no dif . its pritty bad the cars rpms start jumping like crazy for a few seconds from 200- 600rpms when i come 2 a stop.
how hard is it 2 pull the idle air control valve off on my redtop.
i checked for leaks in the intercooler piping everythings tite and all the pipes are flared. also im getting spark in all the cylinders and the plugs are fine.
ok it doesnt mess up when i come 2 a stop more i was at home and i decided 2 check the fpr i was told 2 take the vacuum hose off an block it and see if the rpm increases well it didnt, so i tapped it with a screw driver i duno why i jus did. also i played around with the idler screw on the iacv. and it doesnt mess up on stops no more but still the idle is ruff it feels like its missing.
