Hello everyone, the Sr starts and gives stable rpm after start, however when warm after driving for a while, the rpms drop to 2-300, or sometimes less than 100, causing the engine stall couple of times during the day. That happens usually when releasing the gas pedal, the rpms just go down and do not stabilize at proper idle. Wondering what could that be, IAC(if that, which part of it?), MAF, temp sensor, or anything else. Thanks for looking.
IAC or MAF is the bov vented?
How can the bov affect the idle though?
mine did, the spring was stuck open a little I had a rough idle and it would die after revving… just check super quick by taping it off with some electrical tape.
my hks bov after a year had a leak, the car was running very lean and would almost shut off. fixed the leak. problem solved vented is good as long as you don;t have a leak. it will run 10 times better with a map ecu and tune tho.
The bov is vented, and it has a really small leak when you hold hand on it you can feel the negative pressure at idle, that’s the shitty bov. Would it run lean just because extra air coming through? Also, would that be a good idea to recirculate instead of venting?
yes that is exactly what happened with my hsk, small finger leak and at ideal it was leaning out off the meter past 18! aem wide ban. it was the gasket. and i prefer vented who doesn’t
