this is what i used for information when doing my swap
http://www.heavythrottle.com/
the swap is a peace of cake not much wiring to do either. its a days work shouldnt take much longer unless your really taking your time.
so its just the 2 plugs?
and body harness connector.
are you using an SR harness or a KA harness?
2 Plugs beside the Battery (connects the Engine Harness to the Bay Harness)
1 Plug after the ECU (connects the Engine Harness to the Dash Harness)
You then need to lenghten the wires for the O2 Sensor and the MAFS Sensors so they reach across to the other side of the engine bay since original its setup for RHD.
Other then that… you shouldnt have any other wiring to do unless you get a butchered harness.
use the info on heavy throttle they tell u everything, jsut remember to ground the engine and your ignitor. u have to extend the maf wires and the o2 sensor has to be extended, and setup the heatercore hoses before u put the motor in so u dont have to work in a tight spot after.
when you guys did the swap did you keep ac?
no i didnt keep ac (kinda wish i did on some of the really hot days) and i had a front clip so i used sr harness so all i had to do was splice and extend wires
I’m just in the middle of install the AC for member Will, sold him my SR and he wanted a working AC, so I’m installing his AC from his old SOHC, which was in working order.
I first made 2 custom brackets that bolt onto the SR then mounted the SOHC bracket with AC onto that.
Fitment is tight but its in there. went to parts source picked out a belt and everything is good except one thing.
The high pressure line fits perfectly but the low pressure line from the AC rad doesn’t work, and I cant get it to work without cutting it up and reversing the way the hose goes.
In the end it will all work out.
i didnt like how the ac lines looked so i ripped it all apart.
