There is a triangular metal brace that hooks up two bolts on the under of
the intake plenum and then one bolt hooks up to the block.
It looks to be a support brace to support the intake plenum.
I am curious to know HOW important it is (I know it’s there for a reason
just wondering if it’s absolutely necessary).
Reason is because it intereferes with my oil pressure gauge adapter and
wondered if I can run without it.
Here’t the pic of the brace after I took it off. If you look near your
oil filter area, you will see it.
