SR not turning over

Here’s the scoop

was trying to remove the oil filter by hand going from above the engine bay. Unsure if I had unhooked a wire somewhere near the starter by accident.

Tried starting the car, I can hear the fuel pump working, along with everything else, but engine won’t turn over at all.
I’m looking for possible culprit for the problem…

I don’t really see any connector problems…everything seems to be connected…

just curious if you guys might know what the problem might be…

thanks

Did you actually go under the car and look? I bet there’s something disconnected. Did you short something out? Look for blown fuses.

the ground on the starter is on for sure?

i’ll take some pics right now and show u guys

i found these two connectors female and male that doesn’t seem to connect anywhere

what’s the code number for the fuse for the starter?

in the second picture…
not sure what the connectors actually do

in terms of cranking it…i hear no clicking noise, but i do hear a buzzing noise quasi near the footwell

as for the fuses…which is the starter fuse and where is it located?

did you take the filter off by hand… cuz i usually have to use some kind of gizmo due to clearance issues…

if you touched it with a screwdriver or what not you shorted it out…

check the fuses, if still no worky…

check the ground, power and the solnoid plug.

chances are… your wire was spliced at some point to extend it for the sr…

possibl it came loose.

also if you have a battery relocation check the connection and all the grounds.

in that last pic… IFF that pic is from underneath the car…

im almost 99% sure IF you are hearing a whinning and no “CRANK” that is your starter solnoid plug…

it forces the starter pin forward to ingauge with your flywheel…

which is why you just hear a whinning… like a drill just spinning on the spot…

okay…at this point…

i checked for the grounds…connected

i even tapped the starter a bit…hoping that would work…no

i no longer hear anything when i start on the car besides the fuel pump activating …

no buzzing…no cranking…nothing

my next bet is the fuses…which i checked by the footwell

i am now going to offer anyone to come down and do a quick trouble shoot as to what the hell is going on. I will offer you beer or food or monies
please pm me

i wuld say is lyk this is wat i do 2 my dad van that dont start up properly but wen i crank it i wuld put my foot on the gas peld and rever it soo it will start

try my way of crankin a car that dont start
i did it 2 a dodge caravan a 94 i think it is not sure but yea and if ppl need windowz for a van lyk taht holla at me i got sum :S

the car doesnt even crank whatsoever…

did u try jump starting it??
maybe thatll start it

nope…battery is fine …
thing just doesn’t start at all…

i cant imagine the start just…dying on me like that…there was no indication whatsoever…

so unless i accidently unhooked something while i was testing the strength of the oil filter, to see if i can twist it off just using my hands instead of the oil filter remover gadget thingymiabob

i cant think of any other reason than perhaps i blew a fuse…
but i just checked the fuses yesterday and they all light up…

now i’m just confuzzeled
hence…i need help!

what i mean by jump start is have people push the car and start it taht way

do you know about that?

yeah i do…
and no…sorta can’t
it’s in my garage (underground garage)
can’t push it up the hill to get it on the street…

lol awww

ill keep looking into it…

i noe sumthing but im not sure if u guyz noe abut it lyk take apart the starter and to see if the start works u connect it 2 a batter ground to ground and positive to positive … this is sumthing i learn from a mechanice wen he was teachin me

hmmmmm… if that dont work ummm recheck the wires that goes to the starter

^^ do not listen to this fool. he must still be in Highschool…maybe even elementary school with his literacy skills. like come on man…my head hurts from trying to read your posts.

there is no fucking ground wire on the starter. it is grounded through the casing you dumb fuck.

***to the OP, are you sure the starter signal wire connector didnt fall off? it is a little single plug wire. it can fall off, happened to me.

push it down a hill with the key turned foward and in frist push clutch in then once you get some speed let it out if she starts you need a starter
