car won't start, help!!!

thought it was the starter but im starting to think its not.

i smacked it a few times but nothing.

i turn the key and the motor wont turn over. i have battery power but thats it.

could the starter be completely crapped out?

found some harness’s thatare unplugged by the strater when i was down there but cant find a connecting end for em. ill take some pics today and post.

thanks guys, any input will be much appretiated.

could be the fuel pump .

i can hear the fuel pump priming from a mile away, its hella loud.

its a walbro 255 lph and the car was running not to long ago.

doubt its the pump, but how would i go about knowing for sure?

have you checked the fuse?

i have not young peter

i shall do that in the morn

funny my 89 isnt starting still. i thought starter and looked and found the same unplugged connector:S

it doesn’t turn over… does it atleast click-click-click-click?

Why would the fuel pump prevent the starter from turning over?

Turn the key to the ON position with the car in neutral.

Take a big screwdriver and ground out the positive terminal on the starter to the the other two posts.

If it sparks a bunch, but does nothing, something in your starter has crapped out.

If it turns over the motor, something up stream of the starter motor is wrong from the key to the starter. Possibly a main fusible link.

If it does nothing at all (no sparks), there’s a problem getting power to the starter. The voltage on the positive terminal of the starter (where the big + wire goes to off the batter) should be very close to the same voltage you get at the battery.

anybody wanna come take a look for me?

ill make it worth your while, trust me.
