SR oil temp

Hello,

When i on the track after two or three laps. The oil temp went up to 135 degrees. Is it way too hot?? I’m using the RED LINE 15w50 engine oil. What’s the highest temp of the engine oil normally on the track? Do i need to upgrade the oil pan or install a oil cooler?

Thanks for any help.

Anyone??

I would imagine according to the two quotes below, somewhere around
70C (+/- 20C) should be ideal.

Someone else want to confirm?

The right oil temperature is around 85 deg C , and when it exceeds 125 deg C, the oil cooling properties starts to degrade &amp

In normal street driving, oil temps usually hover around 50-60 C (122-140 F).

Thanks so much Gonad.

When i was driving my car to the track. The oil temp is around 100 degree on highway. I think i need to get an oil cooler or oil pan to solve this problem.
