as you can see the title… i dont know what i should do… i have a thousand dollars at the moment… but will have more soon and i wanted opinions of what should i use that money for first.
should i do a sr swap …or do body work /paint /new exhaust piping /and coilovers… or just spring lol and a few other things i need some ideas thanks.
its a 89 hatch if that makes a difference lol
oh one more thing… i am looking for a master bushing kit …does anyone have or know a place where they sell it cheap .thanks lol
i’d do the sr swap and a set of springs/shocks if i were you. but i much prefer to have my car fast than to have my car look nice and attract attention.
depends on the condition of the body/suspension. If it’s in crap shape then take care of it. If the engine is dying and your body fine, then the sr swap
oh, i should have also mentioned, if your body/frame is rotten i would suggest selling/parting the car and using that money to put towards a 91+ then start saving for mods. having a good platform is the most important thing.
hhmm… thanks for the opinions soo far… my body is pretty good shape… there is only i think 3 major rust spots… one is that body piece that runs under the tailights… its a thin piece. i think anyone that has a hatch will know… and the driver side fender at the bottome its eat tthrough the hole is about a bit smaller then an oreo cookie… and the last rust spot is when u open the door in the door jam… there is is rust eaten through above the door hinge .not like like right at the hinge but like beside the mirror… and the frame… i got all the nessary places boxed up. … i dunno if i should fixe thosse spots up and there a couple of other places wehre u can see bubbling… soo yea… i duno if i should fix those up and paint the car… then do swap… or swap… an waait a longer period of time to do the body work …but i see the price diffence of what i wanna do my engine was rebuilt head up recently soo it pulls pretty strong… i just need new exhaust piping cuz its sooo rusty lol and my muffler the person before didnt know how to intall it right soo yea lol i kinda wanna do that too but thanks for your help people lol… if anyone else has opinions feel free to comment or anthing lol… and ill keep you guys updated on what im gonna do thanks again … people at son240sx and i hope i can get out to some of the meets thhis summer lol
i think if it is in good shape,do suspention then engine/exhustthen body …if it looks nice right now …dont mess with it becasue even stock looks good and clean.
i had a rotten '90 that i was driving and the best mod i’ve done to it so far was parting it out and buying a '92 in a lot better condition. the part out of the shitty '90 has already paid for the $260 i paid for the '90 and most of the cost of my '92. lol
yea i was just think… mybe i should do stuff that is nessaary… and use it as a beater then sell it… then save of the money i have now… and the money i get from selling the car …to get a better conditioned one… but simplemind7 do u have any exterior parts left that are in good conditon like… driver side fender or that body piece that goes under the taillight from end to end… or anything ? thanks
i have decided what im gonna do to my 240sx… im not gonna do an sr sawp… dont have the funding lol… sooo im gonna use it has a daily driver… and just fix up all the rust spots… and put new exhaust piping cuz it starting to rust pretty bad… and the guy before fricked up the muffler soo thats what i have decided to do … mybe turn it into a drift machine next summer… or who knows i might win the lotto… and scrap it lol or give it away lol chances of wining… .0001% (i dont buy lotto tickets…mybe i should start) but yea PPHHOOO WWWOOOOT!!!
