well i just finished swaping my red top sr20 into my 180sx…
but it wont start it cranks over but there is no fuel or spark…
the ecu has no power but i jumped power to it and it fixed nothing
i cant find anything that is disconnected wiring wise.
i donno im hoping somone like allen or someone has had this problem before…
Check your relays and fuses!
And make sure grounds are good, also double check that all plugs are plugged, some are very hard to see. PM Rob (RS13) He knows the electrical stuff good.
Red top harness should plug straight into a 180sx. I’d check for voltage on the plugs to the coil packs. And like ereybody else has said, double check that connections are good and solid.
k this morning i got up and checked all the connections and every fuse and relay in and out of the car and still nothing…
Did this go into a JDM car?? Or a LHD car.
Check your two big green relay’s in the passenger side engine comartment. Try switching them, it could solve the problem.
Can you hear the fuel pump come on?? Also what number is your ECU. If it is a red top it should be a 62 or 63.
^ yeh i was stumped with my install, then i figured out i had the wrong ecu :roll:
ya i tryed 2 ecus niether do anything ill try switch relays today i donno what else to do
so i put a shitty home made grounding kit on my engine and it starts now…
Chris hit it dead on. bad grounds… your worst enemy with anything electrical
