sghe is over heating , now I thougt that it would be that there was noe enought air gettign to the rad, but I was also told that there couild be a block in the lines to the motor block. when I turn the car on and the rad cap is of i have no bubbles

suggestions please

What kind of fans are you running? Have you checked your thermostat? Do that before anything else.

I told you… check thermostat, then find why coolant isn’t circulating.

Stock 240sx radiator?

I have a Koyo Rad and now a single eletric fan running 1000cfm

there was a leak in the back geater core line and I took care of that.

so when I am booting around town ther is no problems but after about 5 min in the Hwy it starts to over heat again…

that does not maKE sence to me

???

Make sure the fluid levels are good. Check the rad cap… make sure its not leaking. Check the belt for the water pump make sure its tight. All I can think of off the top of my head…

and to who ever made the comment on the wire harnes… thats when they look like when you hook them up in 15 minutes.

hey what’s up bro.

if you’re over heating a few things to check out

first, make sure you used the proper filling technique for your rad… it’s not as simple as just dumping water into the cap, you might have air lock that’s preventing it from circulating.

second, the thermostat, open the housing (3 bolts) and put it in a pot of boiling water, it could be stuck from all the sitting around it’s done before going into your car. and it only takes 10 minutes to do.

third, your rad/fan combo may not be enough… although I doubt it, I’m running stock rad + AC fan and it runs good.

if it’s not one of those three things then it might be something more serious like a clog of some sort or a bad pump, either way, good luck bro.

Good idea check the thermostat

Mine got stuck when I had the coolent drained for a few days when I was installing my block heater.

And yours was dry for even longer I think …
