SR20 Red top build

New to the board but dropped a red top sr20 det into my 91 240SX. I bought the motor up in montreal at a steal with upgraded MAF, ECU and rebuilt top end. I bought a greddy IC setup, nismo motor mounts, Blitz BOV, Apexi N-1 exhaust, Walboro fuel pump, Battery relocation kit and upgraded moist of my lines in the motor to earl steal braided lines. The car is should be mobile by next week and will give you pictures of what this start out as (1.8 SOHC) to the Turbo charged monster it has become. I bought this project for a daily driver. After the blowing up in the old motor the goal was to start at a base of 300 HP and only increase. Check for updates kids

Sounds pretty sick. Always had a thing for 240’s.

You dont have a black 240 by any chance do you?

And pics are always welcome, feel free to use our gallery with unlimited hosting

1.8L, in a 240SX? 24 = 2.4L.

O RRY?

Pics or ban :stuck_out_tongue:

Beat me to it. :ninja

it does exist

Yes, that is an SR20…

But you referred to having a 1.8L SOHC motor in there before?
240SX’s never came with a 1.8L SOHC motor.

Perhaps this was a sentra in its previous life?

I knew the old motor was a SOHC but you are correct it was not a 1.8 but in all reality it was because only 3 out of the four cylinders were working. Atleast I got one picture up so you did ban me

Fixed.

Darn I was looking forward my first ban :stuck_out_tongue:

very cool JTB :rofl

i think that should be your name on here, screw damonspeeds

JEREMIAH THE BULLFROG BITCHES

It’d be a 1.5L, not a 1.8.

Just an update with my car it is alive and running but still has many problems. I had to replace the front studs after the rim came flying off on the way home from the shop. After the lugs were stripped, and lug nuts unusable, I replaced that. In good new my car is quick, has no power steering and has a full 3 inch exhuast in a stock muffler so it still maintains that sleeper look. The front mount keeps the car very cool and the koyo raditor and cooling fans work very well. While driving down the interstate, I felt little to no brake pressure so I am trying to deal with that problem and finding new tires this week.

Mix of good/bad news eh?

I’d love to see some pics of this thing.

Brake pressure is always good… might want to take a look into that :lol
