can u put an SR20DET engine in an 89 coupe? cuz i know that the 89 coupe is SOHC and the SR20 is DOHC cuz i was checking out tigerjapanese.com and they have a redtop sr20det engine with rwd tranny and it says it fits year 90-94 so i was a little confused

you can but to hook up your powersteering lines its kinda effd up you either have to bend them or get dohc lines from a 91+
i had a 89 and bent the lines carfully around the oil pan, or you can bend them off to the side just befor you put the motor in. make sure u watch out for moter mounts and clearence after
