SR20det Transmission Fluid???

Ok so i used the search and nothing came up so im here to ask you guys.

What fluid should i use? Im leaning towards Royal Purple. What grade of oil should i use? And last but not least how many litres does the tranny hold?

75w-90 API-GL4. Don’t use GL5 fluid its bad for the syncros.

Should take about 2.5L

yea just fill it and their should be a plug on the side…open that out and when it starts pouring out your good…that what i was told…let it level at the plug level and get goin

hows the Penzoil syncromesh or synthetic 75W-90 GL4 compared to the nissan fluid?

^^ I used the pennzoil synthetic in my cars so far. Redline and royal purple are too much $$

used to use fancy fluids, now just put in 85w90 motomaster gear lube (with picture of dump truck on it)

i was talking to my mechanic buddy he told me i was out of my tree for wanting 75w90. Does the sr tranny run the same fluid as the ka? if so ill just pick up oem nissan fluids.

everyone runs 75w90 redline tranny fluild. Its the exact weight the factory service manual recommends.

And yes sr20 and ka24 transmission’s both take the same wieght oil.

OEM, REDLINE, CDN TIRE, it all depends on how hard you drive your car, and how often you change it.

And yes, 2.5L is all that is needed.
