That’s exactly why I bought it. It was the best I could do for the price. I was looking at a 2G AWD Eclipse to start, but I just couldn’t pass up something that was faster, and w/ a warranty.
you got me on the warrenty but that turbo still holds you back on the speed department

ya there’s something up with my car. I ran 13.8 @ 97mph, i saw a chevelle ls6 on Car and driver last night that ran 13.8 @ 104? I’ve also seen a 440 gtx run 14.2 @ 101. My Mph makes no sense cause my car is built to pull hard through the 2nd half of the quarter. My car just fell on its face cause it shifted way too early. i need to manually shift next time.

It’s small, but it’s no T-25. 300 horse is about the max for the turbo…people have run high 12’s on it. There are a few decent turbo upgrades out for it. I’m sure in the next few years I’ll be getting one. I’m going to buy the Stage 2 here in a few months, it’s not necessarily all it’s cracked up to be, but it will get me big enough injectors, plus the 3 bar MAP and TIP sensor will help out w/ the bigger turbo. I’d just do the new WGA and boost controller method, but I drive it everyday, and part throttle , full boost isn’t necessarily great for a daily driver.
I really only want a fun street car that I drive everyday. I’d be plenty happy w/ 300 horse. I just put some Tein H-tech springs on it a couple weeks ago, it really helped out w/ the shitty handling from the factory, plus it gets the ass end down out of the air.
Bluemeanietsi, I think I saw your car in Natrona Heights about a month ago. 2G blue talon w/ an AEM (i think) license plate frame? Looked like a nice car…I still miss my 2G Eclipse every once in a while.

what i meant was that aftermarket needs to catch up big time with a better manifold, get a few manufactures to come up with manifolds to accept other turbos you’re golden, like with the evos you can drop the reverse scroll and the possibilites are endless. (i didn’t mean the t25 was better i just meant that aftermarket is relitively cheap…60-1 bolt on for 900 bux can’t beat that really)
btw i work at the radioshack in the heights stop in sometime the cars there (i drive too many dif vehicles right now to give you an idea)
i switched to a hotwire maf and no map sensor so that helps with eliminating overrunning the mas on us 2gs.
