start up problem

this problem only occurs when i first start the car in the morning, normally when i start the car it revs to 1,500 then slowly drops to it’s normal idle mark at around 800. But latley it revs to 1,500 then drops fast to around 300 and then revs back up to 1500 back and fourth about 5 or 6 times then finally rests around 800. This only started happening after putting headers on and having to wake up early when it’s colder out for school. Problem here or jsut get used to it? thank you for any insight.

There are probably numerous things you can check, but you should at least give the year, make and model of your along with any mods/maintenance you have performed lately.

sorry, it’s a 2003 hyundai tiburon gtv6 with cai and headers

Do your new headers have the same number of oxygen sensors as the stock setup?

yeah same setup 5 on the stock and 5 on the aftermarket.

you have 5 o2 sensors?? that would be my advice is to check out condition of those sensors if the problem only occurs during warm up

Maybe the Temp. Sensor is messed up. Just a shot in the dark.
