i have a
94 integra
b16obd2 motor
in the morning especially the car has been sitting for hours over night,i go to crank over and it does not want to turn on. i start giving it gas and start to hold the pedal down and it turns on.it idles very low right above one then dies out and i have to do the procees over again.i then get it to tur on and have to wait some time so its warm enuff to start moving.
what can this issue be? i use 93 or 91 gas
i found this on another thread which seems hes having the same kind of issue
“Started immediately having cold start issues after the car had sat for an extended period of time. The exact issue was that the motor just would not fire up. It would crank away for 20+ seconds while I pushed the gas pedal before she would finally stumble to life. The idle would be extremely rough for the first 45 seconds or so and then it would smooth out. The colder it was overnight or while I was at work, the harder the start would be. Above 40 degrees overnight, it would have no issue with the start. Coolant temp gauge showed a few ticks higher than it does when on 87 at full operating temps. If the engine was the slightest bit warm, it ran fine and would start up with no issues.”
LMAO THE BRAKES WORK JUST FINE I PUT NEW CALIPERS AND PADS ALL AROUND.
IT MOVES GOOD JUST THE STARTING IN THE MORNINMG WHEN THE CAR IS COLD OR SITS FOR MORE THAN 3HRS
I would like to add is your starter old and weak? That could cause for the slow cranking. This is a long shot but, maybe you coolant isn’t warm enough, kinda like the issues the Canadians have we’re they plug their cars into a soft plug and it sends warm electricity threw the block to keep the coolant warm. (someone is going to call me a idiot…)
