I have an s14 with sr20 blacktop. When I start the car the idle goes to normal then quickly drops to about 100-200rpm then goes right back to 900-1000. What’s causing this?
Alternator or fuel would be my guess. Are you turning the car on with a lot of accs? Do you hear the fuel pump prime before you turn it on? Does it idle fine once its been running for a bit?
Normally I just go straight to start. I don’t usually use a lot of acc. But once the idle goes back to normal then the car is fine. It’s just on the start up but only when the car is warm it does it. The first start in the morning or after a few hours of cooling down is always fine.

but everytime it does that, i give it a little fuel…
