All of the closed PGC ranges will e closed until at least the 1st of Oct. A few of the ones around SW PA will NOT be reopening. They have had too much damage from OH residents and big guns destroying the targets and what not. So they have decided it is not worth the cost.
The only one I know of around there is A&S indoor range. I shot there a lot, but they only allow pistol calibers.
My question is why dont you guys just join the local sportsman or gun club? Most only charge about $25-30 per year, you get a key, and can shoot any time you want to.
damn, i was planning on going to shoot at the one in wexford when i got home
Destorying targets with big guns FTW, but not when it causes ranges to close up shop.
I have considered this, only concern of mine is, where? i mean I live in Shaler, work in shaler, and have only Sundays to shoot.
I am not aware of the details as to how to become a member, of what club,or where to even go.
My ignorance informs me that i would need a Nomination of sorts into the club by another member, and that i would also need to attend various meetings and events to satisfy the requirements of my “Membership”
But then again maybe ive been watching to many documentaries concerning the Free Masons.
The club joined, requires you to attend 4 meetings per year, which no one but the officers do, there is not nomination process, just go down on meeting night and pay you $21.00, $20.00 for te membership, $1.00 for the key and you have free run of the range during any daylight hours, any day. But then I’m quite far from you. I will check around and see if there are any clubs in your area.
Here is a link to all the gun clubs in pa, maybe you can find something close to ya that works with your busy schedule.
Thanks Vito,
