DON’T SHIT WHERE YOU EAT
exactly thats why im a higher paid worker then others in my company. i told them what i wanted and produced that amount of work they wanted and then some.
if you cant keep up and produce, back off and let someone who can…this goes for anything… i hate the whole senority crap. you may have some years but that doesnt mean you can out work or have more knowledge then someone with less years
100% commission over here brother. preach on!
GM’s problems are the result of two key problems in America
- Today’s government
- US purchasing mentality
The gov’t supports out sourcing buy relaxing trade tariffs and allowing the export of the US’s natural resources. Wrong! our exports should be finished products not our wood, grains, and natural resources.
US spending habits and the GNP - Ask someone 50+yrs old, what does “Made in America” stand for. Reliable, quality products made in the US by the US. NOT made with 51% US origin parts or finished assembly completed in the US.
I read somewhere that WalMart transacts 17% of the nations money daily! We shop there because we want it for less and don’t care where it came from. Big business that starts and finishes on our soil is in trouble. I’ve seen it when I worked for General Electric and now I’m seeing it at Sony.
The writing is on the wall, Americans want cheap…outsourcing and China are ready to supply.
Will “Made in America” mean something again?
GM could learn a lot from BMW.
GM builds shit and I will never buy it. Granted, I wouldn’t buy anything non german.
it pisssed me off when i bought a few things from craftsman an it said made in china. im a craftsman family and when i seen that i was pissed. youre right ppl want it cheap… you have ppl in this thread that states that.
i want made in america sometimes you pay more but i would rather pay more for a good tool then a few dollars for a cheap imitaion one.
unions have screwed a lot of companies. take, take, take but no return for the employer. I worked for one company as an outside contractor to do union jobs that their employees refused to do. Had grievances filed against me because I was doing there job, I got sick of waiting so did it myself. the union employees would spend more time trying to get out of work than actually doing work:rant:
granted unions were needed to protect the rights of the workers but times have changed and needs their agendas changed
amen^^^^
i did a job for my company where i got paid union wage for my status. it was a rate job for a school in PGH. it was about 3 times my actual hourly wage. for the amount of work i did sorry no one is worth that but i will admit it was sweet recieving that amount. if i got paid that everyday i would be working so much harder. hell 110% would go up to like 150% just to keep that wage. cant wait to spring to get another school job
Thats why Jimmy hoffa is no longer around:kekegay:
GM has a few divisions that puts BMW to shame. Believe it or not Cadillac, Holden, and Buick score higher
Must have been GM photoday at the cafeteria
http://www.autointell.net/nao_companies/general_motors/gm1.htm
well its few subjective, who should get payed more… laborer or someone whose job is all mental. My job is basically all mental, and I’m paid a lot. Just because I don’t break a sweat does not mean my job is not difficult, or im deserving of my wages
So you buy German tires ? where you find them at?
I wouldn’t buy any non German car. Seeing as we’re talking about GM and its cars. It’s a philosophy of engineering that GM doesn’t subscribe to. Over engineering cars… something GM doesn’t do.
Pahleeze, Cadillac and Buick? Don’t make me piss myself. I guarantee it’s the same with Mercedes. You take a Mercedes apart and you’ll find Chrysler parts everywhere. Take a Cadillac or Buick apart and I guarantee you you’ll find many cheaper parts from other divisions on it. Same platform, frames, steering racks, they cross divisions. You go with a company like BMW who isn’t owned by anyone else and you won’t find that. Every other luxury company is owned by another company. Porsche isn’t, yet another german company. Parts aren’t borrowed from their cheaper divisions. Am I happy with the current bmws? No, they made a much more rock solid car in the past. Same with all car manufacturers.
Ford >*
Hot Wheels > Ford :spank:
how bout them ford jaguars
depends on what you do, if you answer phones all day I would say your not. If your a lawyer then I would say you are, depends on the wages also…
people are dumb enough to pay for a over sized taurus so be it.
