State Police: No more plea bargins for traffic tickets

everyone speeds at one point or another. places i wouldnt speed are neighborhood streets, and thats about it. i am almost always 5-10mph over the posted limit, and everyone else on the road is too.

in fact, most roads that i drive on frequently, people that are going the speed limit are a hazard and obstruct traffic flow, since the majority of traffic is going over the speed limit. sure its technically breaking the law, but saying just dont speed doesnt really work. how about- “dont speed in excess”

And dipshit Pataki veto’d the bill that would have put an end to this BS.

Has anyone thought that there isn’t a choice by the state pilice to or not to plea. Its the district attorney that makes that decision. And its not up to the plaintiff (state) if it gets pleaded down or not. The discticy attorney weights the information, and makes a decision, with no input from the officer.
