Steel Toed Boots?

i had wolverizen last 3 months before the sole came off, and i had a pair last 3yrs. i got a pair of rockys for xmas 3yrs ago, and still where them. the felt like tennis shoes. when i first started wearing them.

Eric has a fire fighting story for ya…

There is supposed to be a outlet store around Apollo that has good prices on boots.

ohhh boy

Timberliins…good price at the outlets…but all i wear now are military boots

i wear my steel toe/waterproof timbs 6 days a week towing… year an a half old and still keep my feet dry and comfy.

i own a pair of tim’s, military boots both so far are confortable and i got them about 5 years ago

My steel toed doc martens lasted until they were cut off my feet in the ambulance. About 2 years anyway and they were great. I got them for $69 from sportsmansguide and wish I ordered a couple more pairs when I had the chance.

i bought my docs from the doc store in oakland (yeah, about 7 years ago)… they still held up fine and are comfortable and with some shoe polish, they look great.

the steel toe helps rip up the leather a bit… but they aren’t work boots… i would guess that any guy that works outside or beats down their boots hardcore isn’t going to want to get a pair for obvious reasons… but for general wear, they work great

i was going to mention though, mine are nice and are well worth the 100+ i spent on them 7 year ago.

welp went ot crafton shoe store. very nice people but didn’t have boots my size :frowning:
on the way back i saw the IRON AGE store stopped in and found a decent pair. never had a pair of iron age boots so i will see how they hold up. thanks for the input.

the past 10 years i have only been wearing dr. martins, that was untill production moved from england to china, i still have the docs i had in highschool, in the past year i have blown out 2 pair of the china ones, i have tried on timbs and carolinas, milwaukie(sp), and caterpillers cant find any i like , thanks for posting this i will have to try out some red wings,

How they holding up jeff ?

old thread i know

kinda funny i am gonna need a new pair. my right boot is the new shop spokesperson. the sole came off around the toe area. I was real happy with the boots till they came apart. i will prob buy another pair since they fit well and were comfortable. (i wear these boots 12-16hrs per day 6-7 days per week)

my cheapo wal mart boots are still holding up after almost a year of use. laces broke twice, thats it.

my Walmart specials are still going strong after 2yrs. only had problems with breaking laces

I still got my timbs. wore the toes down to the steel but that’s okay since I’m inside all the time. They’re so damn comfortable they’ve become my primary shoes. Only time I don’t wear them is lifting or running lol

i’m telling ya, the best way to go for work boots are rocky logging boots.
i have a"good" pair that i wear out in the evening that are about 2 years old. they will be down graded to work maybe next year.
the ones i wear to work are 4 years, almost 5 old and i have never had a problem with them. very comfy, hold up to water, grease etc. my akita even got ahold of them and the worse she could do was tear some stuffing from the tounge. she couldn’t tear through the rest. (and shes destroyed a recliner with no problem)

Frank’s @ Caste Village

i know this wouldn’t pertain to you, but to others, alot of companies have preferred contracts with Franks for their employees.

yeah, a little too far for me.

i will not buy boots anywhere else besides m&m leather in greensburg. the selection in great, the service is outstanding, and even if the pair you’re getting are not on sale they still give you a discount.
plus it supports one of the few moms and pops places around.
