Steelers vs. Jaguars

best part of the game was the last 30 seconds(jay, kolar and sailor will understand that)

Did they all hug eachother and pray to the gay gods?:greddy:

as much as love ben…fucker should have been pulled

I’m still happy our defense didn’t let any touchdowns happen, that is pretty impressive. Just b/c we have 1 loss doesn’t mean I’m giving up on them

x2

My fav part of the game was Joey Porter introducing the defense

he needed that game so we can crush cincy

X2…and he didnt look as bad as people are making him out…there were a lot of catchable balls dropped!!!

byahhhhhhhhhh!!!

excellent insight :ugh:

I thought the defense looked pretty sharp, other than the few runs they gave up. THe pass coverage looked pretty damn good. Holding the Jaguars to 3 field goals is a good job. But you can’t win games if your offense can’t put points on the board. Batch should have started.

you dont pull Ben in that game. he didnt have a great game, but you dont pull him unless he was visably hurt. you can expect him to do much when we cant run the ball AT ALL. someone said also “what was up with our defense”??? how can you ask that question? they were on the field for like 99% of the game and didnt allow a touchdown and only 9 points.

Exactly. Even Porter and Polamalu get tired when they play the whole damn game.

…and they still only allowed 3 field goals…our offense lost the game, period. We should be able to score more than 9 points.

Ben was rusty, and probably still sore…hopefully he looks like his normal self next week.

Don’t count the Steelers out yet.

ya thats what i’m sayin…there were so many small things that factored in also. field position being one of them. seems like we started inside our own 20 every time. for returns where was Reid at? why scratch him? hes our best return man (colcough should never touch a ball again on a return and Holmes hasnt been impressive at all). i know there isnt much room on the depth chart, but i didnt see Davenport in the game, so why not scratch him and let Reid play.
i mean, bottom line Jax came to play, as they always do against us. but the offense wasnt in sync at all and that was a huge factor. the non-existent run game is a scary thing and i hope it gets fixed.

what was the deal with santonio holmes? he would not even turn around and look at ben until he got 20ish yards downfield. also, our special teams(return side) looks awful. i dont think ive ever seen colclough return one for more than 10 yards

although he might end up being good one day, right now Holmes is the worst player ive ever seen. i hate that guy so far. he ahs no clue what to do as a return man or as a reciever. hes supposed to be so fast and so far he looks like he runs a 6.8 40’ time.

our starting wr’s should be Ward and Washington. washington is just sick. i liked him last year and i think hes gonna turn out to really be something. i want him to start

i think alot of people are overlooking the poor recieving from the steelers this game…the defense was impressive but the same plays were getting them repeatedly, i would have liked to see better coaching to correct this…
just my .02

anyone remember that Ben had a temp of 104 and was out playing in the humidity and all that crap and still played the whole game and didnt bitch and took responsibility for the bad offensive output

yeah but that helps aid the question…“why the fuck didnt they give Batch a chance?”
