Steet Tune!?

Rip off! I’ll just go get a new one

My real winter beater does 15.8, not bad for a 4500lb car…

good idea, i shoulda done that

What is it?

i’ve got a mail order tune. runs great, just gotta do some logs and see whats poppin.

Eh… hopefully you won’t be in for any big surprises. :ohnoes

CONCORDE!

If I own that thing in the spring I’m spraying it opening day at the valley and shutting down the track for an hour while they mop up half of the engine.

If it lasts one pass, it’s gonna go fast, lol

:rofl

HELL YES!

200 shot FTW

one of the best me7 factory ecu tunes. this tune is on a car that runs 10.0’s at 150. all the BT 1.8t guys run Eurodyne or Unitronics. this is no bullshit 100 dolla tune. 7 times that actually.

When you’re making that kind of power, there are too many variables… Dyno FTW.

That would be like me buying an AEM EMS and jamming in the tune from the 'Red Sled"… Just because he can run 9.30s and not blow up doesn’t mean my car will run on the same tune safely. Every motor is different.

x2 on that. Unless you have the same mods as him and are running at the same sea level etc. then I wouldn’t trust a “canned” tune. I’ve seen too many horror stories from them.

What about a street tune?

Way better.

:lol

there are two software companies that sell BT tunes for 1.8t’s for the STOCK me7 bosch ecu. Eurodyne and Unitronics. both very reputible tuners in the 1.8t world. there are two members on this forum that run this software so thats one other person.

Dyno tune, then street tune to clean things up a bit. Such as drivability, partial throttle, tip in, etc

Yep.
