Once again, an awesome time. Thank you to Dave Buschur and the whole crew at Buschur Racing, the DSport guys, Motovicity, Summit Motorsports Park and all the sponsors who make these events possible!
This year, was almost like a real vacation. The track was not packed and we didn’t bring any super fast cars. It’s rather nice to not have to be concerned for anyone’s safety as they haul ass down the 1/4. 10’s? Yeah, ok go have fun. No big deal. :lol: Weird.
We had a small group of great friends and all cruised down together. Hit up the brand new Hollywood casino in Toledo and had an absolute BLAST there! {thumbup}
Saturday at the autocross event, once all the Max Effort guys were done, we were all invited to hit a few cones just for the fun of it. Emery took the RS around the course and started off with some 36-38’s, then knocked it down to a 33.6! (Which is damn good, and coupled with his time on the 1/4… well, we should have entered Max Effort!)
At the 1/4 mile on Sunday, I was running the GTR and Emery was in the RS. Both running some low 11’s, until we got lined up together… two side-by-side 10.9’s at 128. Darn near identical time slips! That was awesome!! Even the reaction time. I still got smoked. But damn, Emery, shifting like that against a GTR! {thumbup} Get IT!
We ended up taking home second and third place trophies in the True Street Class. I never had so much fun losing! John Shepard’s GTR was ripping down the track! It was awesome! Thanks again to everyone we came down with and met up with. Always an awesome time with great friends!
